The Fleet Advancement System is a major update as part of Season Six: Under Siege. These features require the player to be a member of a fleet, which may consist of 1 to 500 players (5 needed to form).

  • Start at Tier 0. There are 5 tiers of upgrades for the Starbase itself, as well as focuses on Military, Engineering, Science
    • Military tier – develop system’s shipyard facility
    • Engineering tier – develop system’s Industrial Replicator
    • Science tier – affect system’s Communications Array
  • Increases in tier unlocks additional functionality and increases size and grandeur (aesthetic improvements) of the starbase, as well as opening special upgrade Fleet projects
    • Additional duty officer assignments, mail, banking, skill respecs, bridge officer training, limited time buffs
  • Opens up new missions and duty officer assignments
  • Non-fleet members can be invited to starbase instance but won’t have all amenities a fleet member would
  • Upgrades require having a certain number of fleet XP (e.g. must do enough military fleet projects to earn enough military fleet XP in order to upgrade the shipyard) [1]
  • Intended to be a long-term goal, with a hard cap minimum of 7 months to reach a Tier V starbase.[2]
    • Each upgrade project takes between 2 days and 2 weeks. [3]
    • Tier V project costs average of 30,000
      . One-time upgrade projects typically three times that.
    • Starbase upgrade cost's dilithium component: Tier IV to Tier V is 1,250,000

Fleet Projects List of starbase projects
  • Assigned by fleet leaders and cannot be cancelled [4]
    • Fleet leaders can assign other fleet ranks to "Manage Fleet Holdings". If the fleet leader has not logged in within one month, players in the next highest fleet rank can get promoted to manage fleet projects.
  • Limited number of projects at any given time. Some restricted to certain times or by tier
    • 3 Starbase Projects can be done simultaneously, along with a special project and one upgrade project
  • Requires resources that individuals contribute (those individuals are rewarded with Fleet credits
    )
    • Fleet marks
      , commodities, duty officers (of all qualities), energy credits, dilithium, data samples and particle traces, expertise (formerly "bridge officer skill points"), weapons, etc.
    • Rarer inputs may include bridge officer candidates [5]



A Federation fleet is defending its tier 0 starbase against a Klingon attack.


Fleet Starbase Challenges
  • Increasing selection of enemies will attack starbase as its importance increases. No negative consequences upon completion.
  • Various different enemy types possible, including Tholians, Klingons/Starfleet etc. ...
  • Set for specific number of players (5-20)
Upgrade Tiers
1,000 starbase XP (also known as fleet XP) is obtained for each upgrade project (i.e. if at 0 XP, completing a Military Tier I upgrade project will give the 1,000 Starbase XP needed to upgrade the starbase to Tier I).[7]
